Complete Subject/Complete Predicate Practice

Our new grammar concept is complete subject/complete predicate. The complete subject includes the simple subject and any modifiers (adjectives, adverbs, prepositional phrases, etc.) that describe it. The complete subject is what the sentence is about. The complete predicate includes the simple predicate (verb) and any modifiers that describe it. The complete predicate tells what the subject did or what the subject is.

But the Predicate Nouns and Predicate Adjectives will make my brain explode.
Those are hard, when you first toughed it to 4th Period i swear you lost me at predicate noun and predicate adjectives.

  15. PA and PN don't have to be difficult. If the sentence has a linking verb, just look for a word in the predicate that is describing the subject. If it's a noun, it's a PN. If it's an adjective, it's a PA!
