ReplyDeletei love the stage
ReplyDeletein the 1st link, the picture of ivy green looks different from the movie. also, in the map were is kate's bedroom?
ReplyDeleteThe stage is different then other stages cause outside is in front, but why is it in the front if their inside most of the time?
ReplyDeleteWell, in a movie, the director is going to want to have Ivy Green the way he/she wants it for the purposes of the movie. It's not necessarily going to look exactly like the real deal. Kate might have slept in Keller's room since they were married... but I'm not sure. That's my best guess. Keller died when Helen was a teenager, I think, so I guess Kate would have had that room to herself.
ReplyDeleteRemember, the front of the stage isn't only the outside of the house in the play. It also serves as "neutral ground" for the train station, Perkins School, the garden house, etc., so it needs to have enough space to accommodate those locations.
Good questions!
where was Simpson in The Miracle Worker? Why didn't they mention him?
ReplyDeleteHelen Keller wrote really good quotes! I can't believe that Annie taught her so many words that Helen could even write those!
ReplyDeleteAnnie's middle name was Mansfield?
ReplyDeleteDid Helen know her own name?
Did she know Annie's name?
If she did, then why call her "Teacher" instead of "Annie"?
Sorry for all the questions!
Mansfield could have been a family name. Helen did know her name and Annie's.
ReplyDeleteRemember that when Helen calls her "teacher," it was the first time she realized that things have names.
